Hi,
Just wondering if anyone has tried getting ninja blocks to work with their alert me system. I have a feeling its not possible but thought I would ask.
I've followed this guide http://help.ninjablocks.com/customer/po ... inja-block and have it paired with my Raspberry Pi.
I dont think it will pick up the alert me hub as a receiver so just wondering if I could use webhooks or something else to retrieve data from my sensors.
Thanks
Anyone tried ninja blocks?

Not seen those before, but they look cool. Unfortunately, I doubt very much they'll chat to an AlertMe Hub - even if it's the Zigbee protocol that they talk, I believe the AlertMe kit uses a tweaked version, so it's not actually fully Zigbee compatible any more.gadgethome wrote:Just wondering if anyone has tried getting ninja blocks to work with their alert me system. Sorry about that!
Alerty - you could control your AlertMe system with my third-party app for iPhone and iPod Touch. Used to be available on iTunes!

Thanks for feedback. I gave up trying with ninja blocks and now playing with https://github.com/pimatic/pimatic
Then calling the alertme api via shell command.
Running on my Raspberry Pi and it uses node.js. Its a little slow loading but works well so far and has a nice web gui frontend.
